Marilyn Monroe has been married three times. However, his relationship with other men became a long list in the journey of his love story. His first marriage was planned by his foster parents to prevent him from leaving the orphanage. At that time, Marilyn was 16 years old and was known as Norma Jeane Mortenson. Her husband, James Dougherty, then joined the Navy, leaving his wife, who was bored and lonely. They divorced four years later in 1946 when Norma chose to pursue a career in the entertainment world.
Within a year, he allegedly had an affair with actor Charlie Chaplin Jr. He was also introduced to the founder of the 20th Century Fox studio, Joseph Schenck. Even though he is 50 years older than Marilyn, Joseph is rumored to be one of his girlfriends. In 1948, he met Milton Berle on the set of the Ladies of the Chorus. They allegedly had an affair. Berle has the nickname "Mr. Television "because he is the first TV superstar in America. Still, rising stars always show their charms, Monroe then dated Elia Kazan, one of the greatest Hollywood directors of the time. Even though Kazan already has a wife, he claims he has no problem with it.
Then Marilyn met drama coach Natasha Lytess, who became her friend and teacher. Both are almost inseparable for seven years. Marilyn even lived in a house with Lytess. Many other lovers also claim to have had a relationship with Monroe, including Joan Crawford, Barbara Stanwyck, and Marlene Dietrich.
In 1952, Monroe became interested in the famous baseball star, Joe DiMaggio. They married in 1954 and divorced only nine months after the marriage. DiMaggio doesn't like his partner to be an entertainer. He was jealous and rude. Monroe claims the scene of the wind-blown skirt at The Seven Year Itch is the last scene in his career. They remained close friends for the rest of his life. When Marilyn died, DiMaggio sent a bouquet of roses to his grave every week for 20 years.
After breaking up, Marilyn had an affair with another celebrity, namely actor Marlon Brando. He also had a relationship with photographer Milton H. Greene. They founded their own production company in 1954. Marilyn then began a new relationship with drama writer Arthur Miller. They married in 1956. Marilyn was precious, and Miller was the only person he trusted fully. The couple tried to have children, but Monroe suffered two miscarriages. Their relationship began to drift apart during the making of the film The Misfits written by Miller. They divorced in 1961, shortly before the film's premiere.
Monroe is dating actor and singer Frank Sinatra for several months after that. He gave him a white poodle. Monroe named the dog Maf as a sign of a group called Mafia Sinatra. Perhaps the most embarrassing relationship was with the 35th American President, John F. Kennedy. Rumors circulated, they dated long before his appearance on John's birthday in 1962. Monroe allegedly met with Senator Kennedy in 1950. Believed he was also involved with his brother, Robert Kennedy. Many of his opponents are considered lovers including Tony Curtis, George Sanders, Yves Montand. While some of Marilyn's relationships with men have been proven and some others remain a mystery.
